Piercer, 1814

   'Piercer' was one of the 'Archer' class of 12-gun brigs, designed in 1800 by Rule. She was launched 29th July, 1804 and given, as you mentioned, to the government of Hanover in 1814. 
   There were many gunboats built to the 'Archer' design, including 'Piercer'
